What are mycorrhizae and what is their function?

Mycorrhizae are fungi that form a symbiotic relationship with plant roots. This beneficial association improves water and nutrient uptake, resulting in more vigorous growth and increased resistance to disease and environmental stress. Mycorrhizae are divided into two main types: endomycorrhizae, which penetrate inside root cells, and ectomycorrhizae, which form a network around the roots.

The main function of mycorrhizae is to expand the absorption zone of the roots. They form a network of filaments that extend beyond the reach of the plant roots, allowing access to more water and nutrients in the soil. In addition, mycorrhizae protect the roots against soil pathogens and improve soil structure by creating aggregates that allow for better aeration and water retention.

When should mycorrhiza be applied?

Mycorrhizae can be applied at various stages of plant growth to maximize their benefits. They are ideally used at early stages of growth, such as seed germination and rooting of cuttings. During transplanting, sprinkling mycorrhizae into the planting hole ensures that the roots come into direct contact with the fungi, facilitating rapid colonization. Additionally, mycorrhizae can be applied through irrigation during the growing cycle.

Great White Premium Mycorrhizae®
It is an advanced formulation that combines endo and ecto mycorrhizae, beneficial bacteria and Trichoderma, designed to maximize plant health and performance.

How to use:

• Seeds: Lightly dust seeds for successful germination.
• Cuttings: Dip the cutting in a rooting gel and then in Great White powder.
• Transplanting: Sprinkle the planting hole with water and place the plant directly on top.
• Soil, Coco and Topfeeding: Mix 1 tablespoon (5 grams) per 8 liters of water and apply in irrigation.
• Hydroponic cultivation: Mix 1 tablespoon (5 grams) per 40 liters of water.

King Crab - Liquid Bacterial Product
Contains a high concentration of beneficial bacteria that improve the absorption of phosphorus and micronutrients.

How to use:

• Existing Soil or Plants: Mix 1/2 ml per gallon of water and saturate the root ball.
• Hydroponic cultivation: Mix 1/2 ml per 4 liters of water.

Orca® Liquid Mycorrhizae
Liquid microbial product that combines mycorrhiza and beneficial bacteria.

How to use:

• Seeds: Apply 1-2 drops directly to the seed.
• Cuttings: Immerse in Orca® at a rate of 1 to 3 ml per 4 liters of water.
• Hydroponic cultivation: Use 5 ml for every 40 liters of water.
• Soil, Coco and Topfeeding: Use 1-5 ml per 4 liters of water.

Myco Chum® Premium Microbial Food
Contains a mixture of molasses, fish hydrolysate, liquid algae and humic acids.

How to use:

• Standard mixture: Mix 5 ml in 4 liters of water and water the plants.
• Intensive feeding: Increase the dose up to 15 ml per 4 liters of water.
• Compost infusion: Mix 5 ml in 4 liters of water.

Great White Granular 1®
Organic and mycorrhizal product ideal for vegetable, fruit and flower gardens.

How to use:

• Transplants: Distribute the product at the bottom of the planting hole.
• Mixed with soil: Mix 50 g with 50 l of soil.
• Existing plants: Make holes around the crown of the plant and apply 5 grams per hole.
