Characteristics of the 4x4x4 rock wool block

Rock wool plug is a rooting medium that has an artificial molecular structure ideal for rooting. It usually has a very high pH by default, so you will have to lower it to 5.5 . The porous structure retains a large amount of water and air. This product is sold in single units.

How are they used?

It is used to get your seeds or root cuttings and then transplant them to a rock wool slab . In both cases, you have to be careful with the humidity, pH and the depth at which you put the seeds so that they do not rot. The 4x4x4 rock wool block must always be soaked for 24 hours with the pH regulated to 5.5 . Once the growing medium is prepared, you can place the seeds and stick the cuttings firmly so that they do not move. Both the cutting and the seed must be inserted in the middle of the block so that it roots perfectly.

Advantages of using a rock wool block for seeds and cuttings

One of the main advantages is that it has an excellent combination of water and air , which allows for magnificent root formation. Rock wool also repels excess water by itself, to the point that it only takes a little shake to remove all the water without having to squeeze the block.
