Canna Aqua Clay Pebbles expanded clay is made up of balls between 8 and 16 mm . The internal structure is porous, absorbing and releasing water with nutrients according to the needs of the plant. This cultivation system is clean, does not decompose and is free of diseases and parasites. It also has a stabilized pH between 5.5 and 6.5, which makes it an excellent support for hydroculture . It is recommended to immerse the expanded clay in the nutrient solution 24 hours before transplanting to stabilize the pH.
Canna Aqua Clay Pebbles have a high pore volume with a high air content, resulting in strong roots with optimal grip . Clay balls are inorganic, have a neutral pH , do not mold or rot. They consist of several fractions and thus form an optimal heterogeneous structure for optimal rooting. Expanded clay balls form an ideal base for optimal growth and flowering . This type of substrate will produce the highest yield in combination with the COGr Vega A+B and COGr Flores A+B fertilizer. Switch from Aqua Vega to COGr Flores A+B when the first flower buds appear (usually after a period of 1 to 3 weeks with 12 hours of light per day).
It can be used for all forms of hydroculture. Rinse the Canna Aqua Clay Pebbles expanded clay balls beforehand with water, to remove any dust particles and prevent possible clogging of the drip system. Expanded clay can also be used to improve soil drainage in pots . To do this, apply a 4 cm layer of clay balls to the bottom of the pot.
