C59: Pocket EC, TDS and Temperature Meter from Martini Instruments Milwaukee Instruments
The EC59 is a multifunctional pocket meter for measuring Electro Conductivity (EC), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and temperature. This waterproof device is ideal for a wide range of applications, including agriculture, hydroponics, fish farming, aquariums, swimming pools, laboratories, water treatment, food and education. Equipped with a replaceable probe, the EC59 offers accurate measurements and features advanced features such as temperature compensation, battery indicator, stability indicator, auto power off, and auto calibration.
EC59 Meter Features

Two-line LCD display showing EC values up to 3999 µS/cm or TDS up to 2000 ppm.

Temperature range from 0.0 to 60.0°C (32.0 to 140.0°F), allowing measurements in various environments.
EC59 Meter Operation
To use the EC59:
- Remove the protection from the probe.
- Turn on the meter by pressing the ON/OFF/CAL button.
- Immerse the meter in the liquid to be measured, preferably in a glass to stabilize the sample.
- Let the meter compensate the temperature automatically.
- To freeze the reading, press and hold the SET/HOLD button.
- To switch between EC and TDS modes, briefly press the SET/HOLD button.
- Turn off the meter by pressing the ON/OFF/CAL button.
EC59 Meter Calibration
To calibrate the EC59:
- Press and hold the ON/OFF/CAL button until the "OFF" message is replaced by "CAL."
- Release the button to enter calibration mode.
- Immerse the meter in a calibration buffer with a value of "1413uS".
- The meter will indicate "OK" once calibrated in uS, and will automatically be calibrated in TDS (ppm) as well.
