Diffuser stones come in different shapes and sizes to best suit the type of water tank you have. A product that you must maintain with care, since it is fragile. If stones fall to the ground, they may break.
The diffuser stones serve to better oxygenate the nutrient solution, making the new air generated by the pump better distributed. In addition, they will also always keep the nutrients mixed. That is why it is a fundamental piece for watering plants. To tell the truth, it should not be missing in any of the crop's water tanks since they provide vital air . Once the air reaches the pump in the form of bubbles, the stone filters it and oxygenates the water. This improves the substrate and allows the plants to assimilate more nutrients. Not surprisingly, these will not settle to the bottom, so plants will be able to absorb them more easily.
The main objective of the diffuser stones is the correct oxygenation of the irrigation water. The stones retain the air expelled by the pump and filter it so that the water is much purer and has greater oxygenation. That is why to use these air stones you will need an air pump to provide oxygen. The pump will be connected to the stone through a rubber band through which the air will circulate and be released into the tank. In most models of air stones you will probably also need a non-toxic silicone tube. However, for the stones to work well they must be clean , away from the sun's rays and temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.
